Banded Knob-Tailed Gecko (Nephrurus Wheeleri)

Dobby

Our stunning male Banded Knob-tailed Gecko (Nephrurus wheeleri) is a captivating example of one of Australia's most unique desert reptiles. Recognized by his bold dark bands, sandy coloration, and distinctive rounded "knob" tail, he brings a striking prehistoric charm to any collection.

Native to the arid regions of Western Australia, Nephrurus wheeleri is a nocturnal ground-dweller with a calm temperament and quirky personality. Unlike many other geckos, he doesn't have sticky toe pads—instead, he’s a skilled terrestrial hunter, stalking insects with precision.

With his expressive eyes, characteristic tail wiggle, and curious nature, this gecko isn't just a fascinating display animal—he's a window into the remarkable biodiversity of the Australian outback.
